Theresa’s passion for design started at an early age—growing up in a century old home with lots of unique detail. Coupled with over 17 years working in the interior design industry, Theresa Sherley developed a keen eye for creating awe-inspiring surroundings. She’s also seasoned in finding creative ways to help budget-conscious clients design their dream spaces.
Getting to know Theresa…
What made you want to pursue a career in design?
At an early age I began to appreciate and value beautiful things in a home. It became apparent to me that it was better to wait to find just the right piece than to waste your money on something you would replace later—the value of intentional interior design. It’s such a thrill when a client finally sees their finished room for the first time. I love the joy a well-designed home can bring to someone, it’s fun making people happy.
What inspires your design style most?
Classic, long lasting design is what inspires me. I strive to design spaces that you can live with 10 to 20 years down the road.
What is one of your favorite EH Design projects to date?
I really enjoy projects that include printed wallpaper! Powder room makeovers are some of my most-loved projects to date, they may be small but can pack a lot of punch. Creating a comfortable, inviting, and sometimes even fun powder room space is one of my favorite spaces to design.
What is your current favorite design trend?
I love to wow clients with a whimsical element or be a bold minimalist with my designs.
In my free time you can find me…
Camping in my vintage Airstream or driving around in my vintage VW Beetle.
