AN ENGLISH COTTAGE-INSPIRED REFRESH

Seeking to update their builder-grade home to reflect their personal taste, this family was focused on creating a sense of warmth and charm. After deciding against purchasing new furniture, EHD refreshed key spaces, including the entry, kitchen, butler's pantry, and powder bath. The design incorporated elements of an “old world” English cottage style, balancing earth tones and timeless finishes with modern touches to suit their newer home.

Notable updates included deep blue-gray wainscoting and gold leaf wallpaper in the entry, a wood-clad kitchen island with a handcrafted ceramic tile backsplash, and a powder bath drenched in a rich green hue. The transformation of the kitchen, particularly the framed hood, became the standout feature. The result is a home that feels both welcoming and steeped in old-world elegance while maintaining a fresh, modern aesthetic.
