Everything Home designer Lori Lauer has a proven record for creating lasting client relationships and wonderfully designed spaces. With a diverse design background, she brings a wealth of experience to projects. Lori has worked in all aspects of the business—including manufacturers rep and buyer/merchandiser for a large Indianapolis family-owned furnishing and decor retailer. More recently she designed with Artichoke and her own independent firm. She is a long-time resident of the Westfield/Carmel area having worked and raised her family here.
Let’s Get To Know Lori!
What made you want to pursue a career in design?
I have always enjoyed looking at homes and thinking of ways to increase potential through improved design—changes that could make a big impact on the home. I felt the calling to work with homeowners to help them fall in love with their home at its best!
What inspires your design style most?
My design style is driven by what I love and pieces that catch my eye…and I’m obsessed with function. I spend time researching and reading on trends but honestly don’t follow the trends precisely, I like to add a different twist.
What is one of your favorite EH Design projects to date?
My favorite projects include the Home-a-Rama home we did at Holliday Farms and the model home at Jackson Grant. I love how clean and simple these designs were, allowing so much natural light to enter each room. We also scaled back on heavy trim for more of a Scandinavian feel, and the cafe’ appliances were a standout in the Jackson Grant kitchen.
What is your current favorite design trend?
I am all about texture!
In my free time, you can find me…
Usually spending time with my 7 grandkids! I like to travel a lot too, and hang out with my mini golden doodle anytime I can.
