Custom Design Brings Personality To Zionsville Home

The Project

Seeking to transform their 2-year-old Zionsville home from builder-grade to inspiring, a busy family turned to the skilled interior designers at Everything Home. The house served their basic needs but needed custom design elements to reflect the client’s personality and elevate their living experience. See how we made it happen.

The Process

Everything Home left no stone unturned to create a space that allowed the owner’s personality to shine. Inspiration pictures, hobbies, previous travel experiences, and the designer’s unique vision formed the foundation of the redesign. 3D renderings brought the ideas to life before any work began, allowing the clients to “walk the space” before committing. Here’s how the project came together:

    • The living room fireplace surround became a focal point to the client’s delight. An extended hearth bench adds symmetry and function. Textured tile brings depth, and a stunning illuminated display case provides an area to showcase art and sculptures from their travels.
    • A unique mushroom-themed office wallpaper reflects the homeowner’s profession and inspires the room’s color scheme.
    • Built-in bookcases with a dual workstation desk area and custom lighting deliver more style and function to the office.
    • Two-tone inset cabinets and quartzite countertops highlight the lower-level redesign and make the area ideal for kids and adults.
    • Wood inlay in the primary bedroom ceiling offers a dazzling touch and blends seamlessly with additional wood elements in the room and throughout the house.
    • New light fixtures abound, including a stunning 49” wide, retro-modern chandelier hanging over the dining room table.

Window treatments and a bevy of new tables, chairs, lamps, and other furnishings help complete the space and bring it together in perfect harmony.

After basement photo. Installed a full sized kitchen with great gasby inspired decor of black, tan and patterned black and gray tiles.

      The Results

Builder grade is gone in favor of custom, carefully curated design elements that reflect the homeowner’s unique personality. The space offers unique focal points and adds appeal while still delivering function. The family loves the space and now gets to utilize their home to its full potential.
