It’s that time of year again—crisp morning temps, sun-kissed afternoons, wafts of pumpkin spice in the air and the start of another fabulous fall Home-A-Rama!
We are elated to participate again this year (our 6th year!) with our trusted long-time build partner Old Town Design Group. Together, we couldn’t be more proud of the gorgeous home we carefully crafted from concept to absolute completion in stunning Holliday Farms, located in beautiful Zionsville, Indiana.
Not a detail is missed! This year’s home is a perfect representation of our guiding mantra “the science of building meets the art of design” proving we’re more than home decorators, we’re home design visionaries. Sneak a peek of this year’s Home-A-Rama home and read all about our favorite details below.
True to our brand, this Home-A-Rama build is designed in a luxe yet livable fashion—with a boutique hotel, yet welcome home, feel. We think of this house as practical but still uber impressive with oversized windows and doors yielding a bright, almost art gallery vibe. We are obsessed with the surrounding natural beauty in this golf course community, so we made sure to maximize window views to bring the brilliance of the outside into the home.
Kitchen islands are great, but not everyone likes sitting bar-style when dining with family and friends. We came up with a unique solution in this home, a striking custom walnut island-table to sit 5 integrated into a traditional kitchen island piece. The kitchen cabinetry also includes walnut-embellished doors and hood as an intentional complement to the table. Matte black soapstone-like quartz countertop is the finishing touch.
Adjacent to the main kitchen is a behind-the-scenes working pantry. This galley-style pantry space includes a wall of expansive walnut shelving for storing appliances and grocery goods, a dish sink, a dishwasher and plenty of countertop for stowing away kitchen messes when entertaining.
Dreamy Main Bedroom/Bath
This home’s main bedroom is what dreams are made of, with a cloud-like soffit that glows ever so softly providing indirect light on the headboard wall for a sexy illuminated canopy feel. Unique metallic pendant lighting over the nightstands keep surfaces de-cluttered and clean. The main bath features a handsome matte black/brown narrow marble floor tile that stretches into the shower and up the warm glass-enclosed shower wall. There is plenty of space on the custom floating vanity to get ready for the day and double linen cabinets for ample storage—in addition to a walk-in closet that boasts upgraded overhead storage options.
Open-Air Living Room
The living room is a special place to gather in this home, whether you prefer to be inside or out. The back wall features a folding door unit that fully opens to reveal the luxurious screened (optional) porch—graciously expanding living room lounge space to the outdoors. Fire up the floor-to-ceiling French limestone fireplace to keep things warm. Drop down the concealed retractable pocket TV on a trolley and tune into your favorite show. This room is all about relaxation!
Dining with a View
Surrounded by sights, we knew big windows would make a big impact in this home. The dining room features floor-to-ceiling black pane bistro style windows creating a cozy “resi-mercial” atmosphere focused on enjoying impressive outside views. We chose a round table to emphasize intimacy in the dining room without distinguishing a head of table.
