Jenn’s goal is to make your existing space more purposeful, useful and of course beautiful! She received her bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Purdue University before embarking on her 15+ year career in design. She strongly believes the best designs are personalized in both form and function, always advocating for finished spaces that reflect client-specific tastes and lifestyle. With this attitude, it’s no surprise Jenn has been so successful in completing countless 5-star design projects for many happy clients!
Getting to know Jenn…
What made you want to pursue a career in design?
I have always had a love for space planning and design. Even as a child, I would rearrange the furniture in my parents’ home! That creative freedom spurred a life-long love for designing beautiful and functional living spaces.
What inspires your design style most?
From start to finish, your home should be a reflection of your style. When designing a client’s home, I work to create spaces that reflect their unique style and personality. I guide them towards smart design choices and add design elements based on the client’s inspiration. So really, each individual client inspires my design style!
What is one of your favorite EHD Design projects to date?
I have so many favorite projects, one of those that I recently completed was a vintage blue kitchen renovation. This kitchen was stuck in the 90s with dark rouge cabinets and gold granite. Now it’s light, bright, fun and much more functional too. I love working with clients that will dare to be different, allowing for something unique and edgy!
What is your current favorite design trend?
I love the natural interior design trend. I am not even sure I would call it a trend really — trends seem to go out of style quickly and incorporating natural and nature-inspired elements is timeless in any space. I love adding natural woods and greens to make the space fresh, organic and comfortable.
In my free time, you can find me…
With my family! I have 2 young boys that are very active. They keep us busy with sports and creative arts. Or traveling! I have a large family in Northern Michigan that we visit often. We all love to camp and vacation together.
